Western Australia's growing demand for renewable-powered digital infrastructure presents a significant opportunity for regional development. Through the Silo Data Centre Initiative, Zeff is identifying strategically located sites with the potential to support future data centre development.

Over several years of developing renewable energy projects across Western Australia, Zeff has developed a deep understanding of the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), grid connection pathways and the factors that influence long-term project viability. Drawing on this experience, we are identifying strategic sites and progressing them through the early stages of development, including landowner engagement, planning and development approvals, and grid connection investigations.

Our intention is to partner with leading hyperscale data centre operators, while continuing to play an active role in project development to help ensure each site is thoughtfully integrated into Western Australia's unique environment and regional communities.

Working alongside landowners and industry stakeholders, we are working on a small number of strategic locations and are assessing their suitability for future digital infrastructure. This work considers electricity network access, renewable energy availability, transport infrastructure, land characteristics and long-term development potential.

While the initiative remains in its early stages, it reflects Zeff's long-term approach to development—looking beyond renewable energy generation to identify opportunities that strengthen regional economies, attract investment and support Western Australia's evolving energy future.
